We’re thinking he should consider a new career.
Forget racing, Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s real talent is in house flipping!
If a pending sale on the Key West home the retired NASCAR driver and his wife Amy refurbished for their DIY Network show, Renovation Realities: Dale Jr. & Amy, goes through, the couple’s first adventure in flipping will be anything but a flop.

The couple purchased the dilapidated beauty in 2015 for $1.2 million. Despite having to deal with stray cats, termites, bees, and Amy's pregnancy along the way, Dale told The Charlotte Observer that he and his interior designer wife were able to stick to their $900,000 budget. They later listed the home for $2.6 million, which means that if the pending sale goes through, the Earnhardts will net a staggering $500,000 or more on the 150-year-old home.
Now fully updated, this three-bedroom stunner is a true beachside oasis that comes complete with a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and Dale and Amy’s initials carved in the cement patio out back.

704 Eaton Street, Key West, Florida
This 1,980-square-foot home is located just a few blocks from the beach. It looks beautiful now, but it needed a whole lot of work to get there.
The only thing the home’s two-story front porch is missing is a pitcher of sweet tea.
Although it was badly damaged by rot and termites, the Earnhardts were able to preserve the aesthetic of the home’s staircase. The original newel post —restored and refinished—nods to the home's history.
Custom cabinetry gives the home’s entry a welcoming vibe as well as space for knickknacks!
Vintage wood beams from the original framing of the house lend a rustic touch to the large island.
Airy Living Room
“This space is really quite ideal for entertaining,” Amy told DIY.com. “The kitchen flows to the living room. Everyone gravitates in the kitchen.”
Formal Dining Room
Although they considered demolishing it completely, in the end, Dale and Amy transformed the rickety tool shed off the kitchen into a charming formal dining room.
Dale helped install the shiplap walls in the master suite.
The spacious master bathroom features handmade blue and white Cuban tiles on the floor and a frameless glass shower.
The backyard, which boasts a stunning pool, kitchen, dining room and shower, is Dale’s favorite part of the house.
No Key West home is complete without an al fresco dining room!
When all was set and done, Amy and Dale signed their initials into the cement out back.
