Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Kelsea Ballerini is no stranger to the red carpet. Makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan shares the products she uses to get Ballerini red-carpet ready.
Ballerini's look for the 50th Annual CMA Awards was all about her dress and lips. "We decided this look was all about the dress, so the pony was a classic, fun way to keep the neckline open and off my shoulders," said Ballerini. Deenihan kept the eyes simple and focused on a bold lip.
"I'm obsessed with this foundation; it's our go-to. I love having a lot of coverage to feel like my skin is healthy and glowy!"

"I'm scared of a big brow, so we just add to the natural shape of mine and fill in where we need to!"

Ballerini's look was focused on the lips so Deenihan kept the eyes simple with a swipe of Mark Cream Shadow in Tender Love on the lid followed by a couple generous coats of Mark Lash Act Mascara.

Deenihan applied mark. Touch & Glow to the cheekbones to get that luminous glow. "We always try to get a sun-kissed glow," Ballerini says.

Deenihan added La Prairie Radiance Cream Blush in Berry Glow to add a touch of pink to the cheeks.

Deenihan mixed two lipsticks, Chanel Rouge Noir and Mark Vixen, to create the perfect pout.

Deenihan applied Oribe plumping mousse to the wet hair and rough-dried the product into the hair. She then took a quarter-inch curling iron and created soft, messy waves going in different directions.

For a finishing touch, Deenihan applied a dollop of R+Co pomade mousse to the waves, avoiding the roots and focusing on the hair from the ears down. She pulled the hair back into a ponytail, keeping the texture and not pulling too tightly, leaving volume at the root on the crown of the head.
